Boing Says the Frog

"Boing!" says the frog
As he flops off a log
Munching away on a fly.
His name is Pierre,
And he loves solitaire.
But he's never quite managed to jump.

He can shuffle along,
And his legs are quite strong,
But he's really afraid of heights.
So despite the peer pressure
From family in Cheshire,
He stays firmly put on the ground.

"Boing!" Pierre shouts
As he eats brussel sprouts
Because he's had a fantastic idea:
A large trampoline
And a sewing machine
Will be his amazing contraption!

Now don't ask me how,
But with Doris the cow
He assembled his grand appliance,
And now every day
He travels his way
Going "boing!" without having to say it.
But he still says "boing!" because it's fun.
